Avik has Invested 22 years in the automotive and oil & gas industries, across markets and cultures before he decided to form his own brand strategy consultancy in December 2014.

His journey has seen him work for brands like Maruti Suzuki, Caltex, Mobil / ExxonMobil, Apollo Tyres, PSA Groupe [now Stellantis] and Volkswagen.  

He has been part of 5 memorable product and brand launches [Maruti Zen, Caltex, Mobil, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Apollo Tyres], 1 IPO [Maruti Suzuki], and 3 mergers / acquisitions [ExxonMobil, Apollo-Dunlop and Apollo-Vredestein].

Avik also headed a global brand consulting firm called Saffron Brand Consultants in India & South Asia for a year.

Since December 2014 he is a co-founder and partner of a brand strategy and solutions consultancy called “Expereal”, based out of Gurgaon, India. To partner organizations, institutions, people, places and ideas in value creation. From agriculture to automotive, cakes to culture, healthy homes to healthcare, food to football. Transforming brands to transform businesses.

Academically, he is an alumnus of IMD Lausanne and XLRI Jamshedpur, having graduated in Economics from Hans Raj College, Delhi University.

Avik also advises an automotive forum and a leading APAC digital conference. He is an expert mentor on two of India’s leading mentor platforms. He sits in the Advisory Group of his alma mater XLRI in the new Delhi-NCR campus.
